Porto Marathon
Overview The Porto Marathon is a marathon race held between October and November in Portugal’s second city, Porto.The start begins at Cidade Park. The route then takes in the best of Porto, passing through the beautiful historic center of the Ribeira do Porto, the D. Ruiz Bridge and Porto’s famous wine cellars, with spectacular views. Porto is the birthplace of the Kingdom of Portugal and a city of historical importance. The historic center of Porto is home to many historic buildings built between the 12th and 19th centuries, including the Cathedral, Palazzo Bolsa, and São Bento Train Station. Porto’s old town, which stretches along the Douro River, is a beautiful city lined with colorful houses.
