Belfast City Marathon
First held in 1982, the Belfast City Marathon is Northern Ireland's signature sporting event, beloved by local residents and runners from around the world. Over the years, despite a backdrop of political change and social transformation, the marathon has grown to bring people together and symbolize peace and vitality. It is the first and only marathon in Northern Ireland to join the World Athletics Label Road Race Series and is an AIMS certified race. There are events for all levels, including the marathon run, wheelchair races, team relay and 8 mile walk.
