London Marathon

The London Marathon is one of the World Marathon Majors and was first held in 1981. It is held every April in London, England. The race starts in Greenwich Park and runs along the River Thames, passing many of London's famous landmarks, including Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, and Buckingham Palace, with some parts of the course being cobblestoned, which has made it very popular. In addition, citizen runners dressed in quirky costumes take part in the race, creating a festival-like atmosphere every time.
