Hamburg Marathon
This international citizen marathon is held every spring in the beautiful port city of Hamburg in northern Germany. Since its first event in 1986, the flat, easy-to-run course and the warm cheers from the roadside have continued to attract runners. The starting point is Caroline Strasse in front of Hamburg Messe. The course begins with beautiful scenery along the Alster Lake, and features Hamburg's diverse faces, including the historic city hall, the lively Reeperbahn, the modern HafenCity, and the majestic Elbe River. The finish point is also at Hamburg Messe, and the sense of accomplishment after reaching the finish line is exceptional.
