The Dallas Marathon is a historic and traditional marathon held every December in Dallas, Texas.
Founded in 1971 by the passion of local runners, the event has grown in size every year and has now grown into a major event with thousands of runners participating.

The Dallas Marathon is a marathon and running event held in Dallas, Texas in December.
In 1971, after local runner Tal Morrison placed a $25 ad in a magazine urging readers from around the country to come to Dallas, 82 runners started the race at White Rock Lake.
The course has since expanded and changed, with the current course starting and ending at Dallas City Hall and going around White Rock Lake.
・Starting Point:The Dallas Marathon starts in front of Dallas City Hall, a symbol of vibrant Dallas. Thousands of runners start running at the same time from this place surrounded by skyscrapers. The majestic sight of City Hall inspires the runners and signals the start of an unforgettable race.
・Majestic view of White Rock Lake:White Rock Lake is a place of relaxation in Dallas. Running along the beautiful lakeside will give you a moment of unity with nature.
・Historic Downtown:Downtown still retains the atmosphere of the good old days. Brick buildings and street trees warmly welcome runners.
・Fusion of art and culture:Contemporary art and historical buildings are scattered throughout the city. You can experience the rich culture of Dallas while running.
・Finish point:The finish is again in front of Dallas City Hall. Runners who have run a long distance are surrounded by loud cheers and applause as they cut the finish tape. The moment they cross the finish line, they will be filled with a sense of accomplishment and emotion.
The course of the Dallas Marathon is relatively flat and easy to run on. However, since it is held in December, the temperature is low. Be sure to take proper measures against the cold and pay close attention to your physical condition.
