The flat course design makes it easy to run, and the cheers from the sidelines are encouraging. Starting from Second Street, you will run through a course packed with Austin’s charms, including downtown, the Colorado River, historic Hyde Park, and the campus and tower of the University of Texas at Austin.

The Austin Marathon is a race that attracts many runners every year, set in the vibrant streets of Austin, the capital of Texas. Course Overview

・Starting Point:The race starts at the intersection of Second Street and Congress Avenue. Starting from the vibrant downtown, runners start towards their own goals. The starting point, filled with excitement, is full of vitality, befitting the start of the race.

・Downtown:As you pass through downtown lined with skyscrapers, you can feel the city’s vitality on your skin.

・Colorado River:The moment you cross the Colorado River, the symbol of Austin, will be an unforgettable memory for runners.

・Historic Hyde Park: In the lush Hyde Park:runners will find healing in the historic buildings and beautiful gardens.

・The University of Texas at Austin:Run through the vibrant atmosphere of the student town and get a close-up look at the iconic tower of the University of Texas at Austin.

・Finish point:The finish is in front of the State Capitol, the political center of Texas. The moment you cross the finish line, you will experience an unforgettable moment of accomplishment and excitement.

Course elevation and temperature

The Austin Marathon course is designed to be relatively flat, but there are some slight ups and downs. The climate in Texas is warm and easy to run in the spring, but it is hot and humid in the summer, so it is important to manage your physical condition beforehand.
