Overview

The Nantes Marathon is a marathon race held every April in Nantes, France.

Over 17,000 runners participated in his four events: 10 km, half marathon, marathon and relay marathon.

The course runs through the city center of Nantes, starting from below the Neff des Machines de l’Isle, crossing the Parc de Procé, Place Graslin and Place Royale, along the Erdre and discovering the Île de Versailles.

Then continue your journey towards the cathedral and the castle of the Dukes of Brittany, before arriving on the banks of the Loire River. It’s a route packed with iconic locations and history.

Nantes is home to many historic buildings that retain the vestiges of the medieval times when it flourished as the center of the Duchy of Brittany.

The city is also known for its gastronomy, where you can enjoy dishes made with the abundance of seafood from the Atlantic Ocean. Seafood dishes such as lobster, crab, and sea urchin are especially delicious. Galettes and crepes, which are local dishes from Brittany, are also popular.
