The Indianapolis Monumental Marathon is a marathon event held in early November in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. It was first held in 1977.

The course starts and finishes in front of the Indiana Capitol and is a flat course that loops around the center of Indianapolis.

Indianapolis is a center of culture and the arts. The city is home to many art galleries, museums, and theaters, including the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and the Indianapolis Repertory Theater.
