The Dallas Marathon is a marathon and running event held in December in Dallas, Texas.
In 1971, it started at White Rock Lake with 82 runners after local runner Tal Morrison placed his $25 advert in a magazine, encouraging readers across the country to come to Dallas.
The current course begins and ends at Dallas City Hall and loops around White Rock Lake.
Besides the marathon, there are also various events such as Half His Marathon, 50K Ultra Marathon, 10K, 5K, 5K Team His Challenge & 100M Dash.
