Overview

The Boston Marathon is one of the World Marathon Majors held every third Monday of April in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

The longest-running marathon event in the world, which began in 1897, is the setting for many historic moments.

It is also known for being the first global marathon event to allow female runners to participate and to participate in wheelchairs.

Since it is necessary to meet the qualification time to participate, the average time of the finishers is by far the fastest among the World Marathon Majors, and most of them finish in less than 4 hours.
